This compact invites four sectors, community, government, industry, and philanthropy, to make named, public commitments, to work towards a digitally inclusive Aotearoa.

Why a Compact?
Shared accountability, built together.
Aotearoa has tried before, the Blueprint, the Five Point Plan. Organisations and agencies committed to change. The will to affect change and build solutions has never been in doubt but it needs a structure strong enough to hold when the ecosystem shifts.
A compact unites, drives action and distributes accountability across the four sectors. It is not a legal instrument, its power comes from visibility and accountability.
No single organisation stepping back ends the work and no election cycle wipes the slate.
What sector commitments look like in practice is something we design together. The process of building this compact is a form of collaboration.

2019: Digital Inclusion Blueprint
The first national framework for digital inclusion in Aotearoa. It set the vision, identified the barriers, and established the four elements: access, skills, motivation, and trust, that still shape the work today.
Good people in Aotearoa have put a transformative effort into digital inclusion but the digital divide is shifting and growing. We need to make sure the work continues.

A cross-sector call to government, signed by organisations across the motu, committing to five specific actions to accelerate digital inclusion. It showed what sector-wide coordination looks like.
2019: Digital Inclusion Blueprint
